I think I found you through the fake doctor's blog, and he was linked at blogger's front page.
i think you found me first, didn't you? whatever. you make me laugh and that's why i keep coming back.
PS: What do you mean by coming out? Are you outing yourself? Telling us your real name?
Hi from Perth, Australia. (First things last)
Guri: Yay!!! My favorite Norwegian reader!! :) I'm extremely excited that your blog is in English now. Not excited in that horrible "everybody-must-speak-my-language" kind of way, excited in that selfish "I-want-to-read-your-blog-and-it's-a-pity-I-don't-speak-Norwegian" kind of way.
Andy: "I know I don't read theirs anymore." Oh, oh, oh now ... but isn't that a bit like leaving one's wife for one's mistress? :)
surly girl: I know. I'm really curious to see who's out there ...
Jenn: The fake doctor is great isn't he? I figure the long delays in between posts are probably because he's busy doing the things that fake doctors do. I get that, but what I don't get is this: "why is this man still single?!?!" He's obviously smart, witty and refreshingly hilarious. I wonder if I have any loveable, beautiful, Jewish women friends and/or readers that I can send his way. Unfortunately, the two friends that immediately come to mind are engaged. :( ... And, by the way, I'll have you know that when I first started university, a friend: went to Perth, fell in love with one of them "charmin' Aussie boys" that you guys breed en masse down there and dragged him (kicking and screaming) back to the US with her. Many years later, they were still very very very happily married. I haven't seen them in ages, but I have no reason to believe that aren't aren't still very happy.
It helps, being a Chandler lookalike.
Yay Aussies! Maybe you should come here and fall in love with a local charmer. Or simply for the lovely beaches. Western Australia is soooooo nice. And uncrowded. And uncomplicated.
and happy blogbirthday to you, stolie!
_
Actually, Stolie I think you found me first, commenting on some of my eye candy and that's how I found you.
Anyway, happy day to one of my most favorite blogbuddies.
Shouting out from the NW corner of Georgia!
'appy 'undred
Let's see... I found you through the "Next Blog" button at the top of the Blogger blogs. I'll have you know that I add and delete blogs from my bloglines all the time. Every time I find one I think I might like, I add it and sadly most get deleted after a few weeks. You, however, are one of my favorite bloggers and will stay in my bloglines account for as long as you post.
I'm from a little burb of San Antonio, Texas - Home of the Alamo.
I think that I discovered you when you left a comment on my site! (Who could forget that picture!)
Anyway, glad that we made the connection! ;)
-From a faithful lurker
By the way, originally stumbled onto this site when I was "Next Blog"-ing away one day and loved the way you write.
miss anon: I actually remember that blog. (I don't think that I read it anymore either.) And, thanks for the happyblogday wishes, by the way!! :)
Tonito Bandito: I think your eye candy is one of the few things that carry me through my dry spell! :)
Raymond: TANKS!!! :)
MamaChristy: That's sooooo interesting about the "next" blog thing. I wonder who's blog is sitting next to mine ... I'm going to try that out now.
Berry: THANKS!!! :)
Hanuman: You post very very lovely photos!! :) Delicious.
The One and Only Bro: YAY. :) Bro-Bro! You're probably mentioned in 85% of these posts so it's about time that you put up a comment or two.
Salian: This is great!!!! I always wondered who was lurking behind the curtain way over there in Rolla. Welcome! :)
So, that's what I have to do to get the lurkers to come out from their corners? Call you each out by name? Let's try this again ... hmmm ... Who's the Baltimore gal/guy? How about that lurker from Calgary? And, exactly who is the person lurking from Singapore?
Sheesh! This is like pulling teeth. Why is everyone so shy??? I won't bite ... Unless, of course, you want me to. ;)
Found your blog a few months ago and have become addicted.
Cheers
little a: A ha! Yet another lurker hash been so brave come forward. The next time I read each of my list of favority blogs, I'm going to check out the "next" blog for each of them. Glad you like the picture!! :) And thanks, again, for coming out of hiding.
Mint Chutney: That means you found me really shortly after I started. Thanks for coming back.
I can't for the life of me remember how I stumbled here...but I'm glad I did!
Nics: So, you found me through Mitch's site? It really *is* like that whole six degrees of separation.
*waves*
But you knew I was all up in your blog grill :D
Mags: Thank you, little one! :) By the way, that Irish guy (yes, folks, believe it or not, I met ANOTHER Irish guy) was so weird that I might actually post about him tomorrow. You're hilarious: "Stabbed?!?! Who is this guy? The Irish 50 Cent?"
The Fake Doctor: Thanks for the congratulations and for posting a comment. I've said it a million times and I'll say it again. I *LOVE* your blog.
Sid: And, you know I'm equally all up in yours! :)
The Doctor Wanna-B: "your blog is like my little replacement for sex and the city... :)" Wow! Thanks for the compliment. Although ... talk about not worthy; my life pales in comparison to the fab four.
Salian: The funny thing is this: I had that exact same thought the other day ...
When I first heard about blogger get togethers / parties / outings, whatever they are called, I was little freaked out ...
"Ewww! Wouldn't that be a bit like the Trekkie get togethers that I've seen on television? What? Would people like show up dressed as their avatars?!?!? I. AM. NOT. dressing up like a fucking chicken for anyone!!!"
But, now that I've been doing this for a couple of months, I kind of get it. It's more about the shared experience, not simply the shared interest in writing and/or reading blogs.
So, the next time I hear about one of such outings in New York ... bring out that chicken suit!!!
I found your blog by surfing Eli's blog. I found his blog by being bored and by procastinating doing an essay on Huntington's Disease. Dont ask. Needless to say blog-surfing is a great way to waste time and procastinate!
Anyway with regard to comments on your blog itself, cant say I've read ALL your posts yet but it's pretty cool. One of my pet peeves is boring blogs where people simply write an essay on their boring mundane life going into each boring mundane detail such as what they ate for dinner what their bf/gf said when they called them and what colour knickers they're wearing at the moment etc etc! Hence a bit of wit and humour and general reflections on life are greatly appreciated!
Keep it up!
Darwin
Sorry for the late BloggerBirthDay wishes - things have been nuts.
To be honest, I can't remember how I found the site, but it probably was associated with finding a random link on some random blog... and saw the similar tag line revolving around rants and raves, and figured, hey, this might be interesting...
And guess what, IT WAS!
AB: Thanks! Hey ... when I was a little girl, I lived in the 'sip. And, it seems that everyone in Chicago has relatives there.
I found you through Sid. I think you made a comment there that I thought was interesting.
By the way, I just noticed that your blogger profile is hidden. Hmmmm ... why so secretive? :)
You know I love you. See you very soon!
