There's been a cold snap - it's only 25 degrees Celcius here(77 Farenheit for my American friends) and people are pulling out their woolies. Seriously fleece and scarves. A few degrees cooler and they'll be pulling out their mittens!

Re: Springtime in New York City!

wendy: Welcome!!! :) Cleveland Spring grey is probably very similar to Chicago Spring grey.

Howard: You learn something everyday. I thought Denver was called the Mile High City because it’s in the mountains. Hmmm ... maybe it got that moniker for more scandalous reasons?? Sounds like fun. :)

Re: Springtime in New York City!

Denver can be beautiful just like any place, but remember it is a desert climate and we aren't actually IN the mountains, but then the mountains are only a 20 minute drive, too.

Today, it rained, it snowed, it blew, it broke up, it sunned and it warmed up. Pretty typical. :)

Re: Springtime in New York City!

cleveland spring gray. white-gray fogging over. cool, endless drizzle. the smell in the air of decay breaking out into life. worms. depressing gray. red truck thru fog thru wire mesh colorless gray.

Re: Springtime in New York City!

There's a high today of 82 in downtown A-T-L. Mr. Bandito in NW Jawja must stay up in the mountains! We get spring for about a week then it goes straight to summer. It ain't called HotLanta for nothing! Mountains? I can only dream ... Wait a minute. Wait a minute ... skyscrappers are kind of like mountains, aren't they? Sheesh! And, people say there's no nature in NYC?!?!

goldennib: Sorry to hear that you guys got snow, too. :(

Howard: It's good to be a nut about something! And, weather nuts are pretty cool. By the way, I hear Denver is BEAUTIFUL. I've never been.

Darwin: White Easter?!?! I love the UK, but I never really got used to the weather. And, yes, Florida is beautiful. I love the beaches!!

miss anon: Yay!!!! I love the T dot!! :) Sorry hear about the snow.

ErikWithaK: I love my Texan readers!! (I think there are at least 5 or 6 of you.) ... By the way, what's this stuff about prefering snow over sun?!?! I'd give 1/3 of my left nipple to see sunshine again. ;)

Mel Chickk: I LOVE California!!! ... Yeah, I heard about the hail on the news the other day. Odd. You guys have earthquakes, hail storms, crazy fires, mudslides and other natural phenomenon that most other states never see. But, you also have sunny beaches AND mystic mountains. That combination is rare in the US.

Mitch: "Slightly warmer rain." That's cute! :)

MamaChristy: I know, and I'm jealous. ;)

AmyD: WELCOME TO THE BLOG!!! :) And, I know what you mean about the Midwest. I'm originally from Chicago where it could be 20 degrees at 8:00am and 80 by 3:00pm. You could wake up with sunshine and go to bed with snow. Midwest weather is horrible, but the PEOPLE are some of the best that you'll ever find walking the earth.

Tonito Bandito: Yes, I *am* jealous of you, my love!!! :)

ET: I know! I think she posted those pictures just to make the rest of us feel jealous.

Little A: I know why it happens this way but I'll always think it's odd that, on the same day, it's Spring in one region of the world and Fall in another.

JohnJEnright: Chicago. My beloved home sweet home. I'm going back for a visit in July to see my friends and family and to go to the Taste of Chicago. (That's one of my favorite festivals in the world.) I miss Chicago!

Re: Springtime in New York City!

In the windy city at midnight: light rain earlier, 50s, daffodils, but no forsythia yet.

Re: Springtime in New York City!

It's autumn in Australia, which does not really mean much, but we're having half and half weather. Cold winds but the sun is still hot hot hot. Our max temp this week is about 30 degrees celcius, but it's regularly been around 20-25 celcius. Right now at 10am it's 18 degrees (about 64 farenheit).
