Twanna @ FUNKY BROWN CHICK: I Kissed a Boy

  • tiffany · 1 year ago
But did you like ii-iiit? And more importantly: was he wearing cherry chapstick?
  • thejadednyer · 1 year ago
I am very superstitious when it comes to discussing my relationships and I, too, notice that as soon as I say, "Oh I'm so smitten," or "I really like him" things go kaput. So on my blog and in real life, boy talk remains at a bare minimum.

So enjoy your kisses and the boy and and all his parts... in the privacy of the non-blog world!

    Mazel Tov! lol

Excellent, and even more so because you're cute. (Good visual) I'll visit your blog again soon.
  • ladimcbeth · 1 year ago
A: you're adorable and yay for kissing boys!

B: I'm completely with you on the not talking about it thing. I tend not to talk about any budding relationship (or even casual fling) for the first several months. That goes double for online communications, I've had people comment that they didn't know I was in a relationship until I was breaking up with someone.

But what it really boils down to is your own instincts, so enjoy the boy and when the time is right to talk about it, you can gusg to your heart's content. :)

there is that dangerous phase, feeling attracted and attractive. Others note and move in.Not always malicious either, just human nature, pheromones and all that stuff. Not that they aren't lined up outside your door all the time anyway. Good for you to keep it private during this stage. And good luck.Like Alicia says, echoing Sally Fields, You like him.

I'm always one to kiss and tell. I just can't keep things like that a secret at all. I started to think blogging about this stuff was jinxing it for me too so when I met my fiance, I talked about it but I downplayed it much more than I had with boys of the past. And, it worked!
  • Babs · 1 year ago
I feel the same way. Whenever I write about a guy and say how great he is he turns out to be very NOT great. So I keep tight-lipped if I meet someone I really like.

@ tiffany: Ooooh, I thought I was the only one who liked the taste of cherry chapstick!! :)

@ The Jaded NYer: Bare minimum, indeed.

    @ Jolie: Thanks!

@ ladimcbeth: Yeah, in general, online blabbing is much worse than offline blabbing.

@ don and @ Alicia: Like I said: Kisses. Nothing less, nothing more.

@ Babs and @ Jill: My lips are sealed.

woids ya can't use in a tome such as this..... ya never know who's gonna stumble
in and be shocked..... but I digress....

P.S. when you leave to go somewhere..... anywhere.... for any length of time....
there should a law which states that all bills that are sent to you while you are
gone are null and void..... if you are not there to use the power and the water
or the phone.... why should I pay..... just a random thought from a musician's
    POV...... am good..... fer now....

lamesabassman...... " one for you.... nineteen for me.... "

You look great! On days when you look that good, you should use YouTube to post, for sure. When posting in your pajamas, though, stick to the keyboard.

    lamesabassman....... " please...baby,baby.... please....baby.... please..."

YAY!! I like the idea of you refraining from writing about things. It's fun to keep some secrets to yourself... :o)

There are no jinxes and charms in lasting relationships. It isn't the kissing or the telling that makes or ruins anything... What is your (and his) intended outcome? Think hard now -- long range -- what will come of this? When you know everything you need to know about him, and you know that he can hold up his end -- and you can hold up your's -- will you still go forward (as they say 'forsaking all others till death do you part')? Or would you rather keep looking?

    Just a thought. Good luck.
  • Twanna A Hines funkybrownchick · 1 year ago
Thanks for your thoughts!! :) I wish I could say I agree, but I've been doing the whole "kiss and blog" thing for a while now. Each time I've blabbed, it totally affected the "thing."
  • lamesabassman · 1 year ago
use the force..... invent a code..... there is enough of brain matter dropped here from us Brainiacs ..... we could handle it.... a bit of whimsey .....

lamesabassman...... it could have it's moments..... hmm.

I'm hooked. I felt like you were BAM in my face. Which is not always a positive experience. BAM. I'm out.
