And that ad asking for new upstairs neighbors...Classic! I have one of those myself, so it was both hilarious and way too close to home for me. :o)
And again, congrats on the job!! Yay!
AmyD: That tribute is one of my favorites. I, like the woman who wrote that post, left Chicago to come to New York. I don't know that woman, but it's clear that (for whatever reason) she went back to Chicago. I can't go back because, if I did, I'd probably feel exactly like she felt when she wrote that Craiglist post. I'd miss New York if I ever left it.
Talk about democracy in its truest form!
The NY posts put Vancouver's to shame for humour and laughability!
Cheers!
Oh, and Stolie: Another Yeah! to your job. Congrats girl, yay! ;)
Firefly: New York is a great city. It certainly has its flaws, but I don't think you could ever say that it's a boring place to live ... Oh, and, THANKS for the congrats!!! :)
Mel Chickk: Oh, you should *TOTALLY* check it out. There's a Craigslist site for almost every major city in the US and abroad.
:-(
But im working on getting to it... :-)
Penis in a mini skirt... that would give me nightmares
You've seriously made me want to live there at some point in my life for at least a few years! Ah the free entertainment! I wish I knew all this before I came there for just one random weekend (the only time I've ever been to NYC). You have to do this more!
Darwin: I love this city. If life continues to cooperate with me, I'm going stick around here for a little while. And, if I were a rich woman, I would throw a "Stolie Nation Party" and invite all of you to come to New York for a weekend on my dime.
Funny, it was exactly what I needed to see right now... $100 says, a year from now, we're both right here, doing fine.
:D
